Notebook Rack

My husband writes a lot. He writes stories, essay, and articles. It is his primary hobby. Thus, Daniel and Bobby write a lot as well.

Edited, basically this was about how awesome Emily is for using a paper holder to hold paper.

  1. I wonder if she can tell her DH's notebook apart from the 3yo and 1yo?

  2. She can't possibly expect us to believe that Dan writes a lot? Unless by "write" she means "scribble with crayons on paper".

I am so dumbfounded by her assertion that writing is his "hobby" that I can't even think of good snark!

Dear Jebus, Emily broke my brain!

  3. Maybe he writes fundie Christian Star Trek fan lit. :)

  4. This is the dumbest storage solution I have ever seen. Really. A magazine rack? Wow Emily, you are really an out-of-the-box thinker.

Oh, and your home is not self cleaning. You actually have to clean it for it to be clean using real soap and water.

  5. I can't believe she actually makes $ writing this stuff. What a groundbreaking solution she has come up with this time.

  6. omg. The 1 and 3 year old write!?!?...they must be little Einstein’s! Alert the media! My 3 year old son draws and can form some letters. My 1 year old son chews on crayons and scribbles on the table. They must be below par. Though if Emily is holding her boys in the same esteem she does her husband they would look like geniuses.

  7. I thought the same thing! I have never met a one and three year old that walk around writing in notebooks. Her kids must be geniuses just like Dan! Holy crap!

  8. Emily is BRILLIANT! I would have never though to use a magazine rack to hold notebooks right beside the couch. Wow, she is going to have us all organized in no time!

  9. Emily you better pick it up a bit or your revenue is going to take a dive. Also that thing is butt ugly

  10. That post was so lame. Maybe I can start a blog and write about my toilet paper holder in the bathroom. It's a great storage solution!

  11. I think she's grasping at straws for her storage solutions. We all know about her rubbermaid tubs and milk crates- she probably has very few real solutions.

next week: I use a bookcase to hold all my books! It keeps them in neat little rows!

  12. the scary part is Dan is supposed to be the god of the family.

  14. Yes, this really isn't anything of innovation, and it's nothing she even had to make any effort/creativity to construct. I think she's definitely running out of original material.

  15. She's so profound, brings tears to my eyes...a self cleaning house? Has she been watching too much of the Jetson's lately?

  16. Now I was thinking that that magazine holder is really kind of cool. Way too cool for emily. Self Cleaning at my house consists of opening the french doors and the front door and letting the breeze blow through.

  17. I can not believe I have devoted so many precious hours of my life reading her blog....

Just doesn't make sense... She knows nothing that I don't know better. She is arrogant. I agree with none of her life views. I am not learning anything new...

OK I am done. Good bye Emily. (we all know you are reading....)

  18. Yeah I'm done too, as are the other ladies on my local board. It was fun for awhile, but this is getting ridiculous.

Well, I hope he starts dictating all of these to Emily very soon; I'm anxious to read them. I have a feeling his "stories" are really bad Star Trek fanfic, and his "essay and articles" are reviews of the books he reads for Bible College of the Holy Basement.

  20. OOhhhhhhh I need a ugly tin so I can create a self cleaning house. She should start by sweeping and mopping or is she waiting around for it to get so dirty it cleans itself?

I just hope if people want to read her mindless blabber they read it on this site instead of giving her 'clicks'

  21. She put something by the couch to catch/store stuff that gets used on the couch. She is a revolutionary, to be sure. Honestly this, and her milk crate storage solutions are not so much "solutions" as COMMON FUCKING SENSE.

Oh look, there's a bunch of space sitting unused on top of the fridge! I know, I'll get a container that fits on top of the fridge and I'll store stuff in there!

    That, is common sense talking.

People in my household use stuff on the couch that doesn't have a home when not in use. I'll put a container that fits beside the couch to store that stuff in.

    Again, common sense talking.

I just bought velcro rollers, and couldn't get them back into the bag. I bought a plastic bin from the dollar store that would fit into the unused portion of my vanity. That is not a storage solution, it's common sense.

Emily ought to be shamed by this stuff, yet she appears to be proud of it...

It's puzzling to the normal mind...

  23. Wow!I am soooooooooooo amazed!!! What a great blog topic!!!!!!!!!! I am energized and renewed by that piece, totally blown away by her creativity, and sense of design!!!!!!!

  24. Next week she'll post about how they keep their toothbrushes neat and tidy in an old kefir jar. Oops, my mistake. As noted with the state of Dan's teeth they don't use toothbrushes. They probably swish some soap nut shells juice in their mouth once a week.

  25. What I don't understand is when Emily went on about how they TAKE CARE of their teeth and just by looking at Dan's teeth you can tell he does not take of them. They need to use the insurance and fix his damn teeth. Its sad but now one is going to want to hire him with those teeth. I am surprised Walmart did they probably thought he was a METH head

  26. My parents had a woodbox, circa 1985, that looked just like that ...thing. Oh, and Dan writes a lot? What's he doing then? Tracing uppercase letters with a crayon? I guess little Daniel is his tutor...

  27. Can someone link me to this horror that is Dan's teeth? I was late to the party and missed the OP.
