I Took the Boy's Outside and Posed Them for Some Pictures

Edited to take out most of Emily\s whining.

[so I could prove to you all that they do go outside]. [because that would show you all. It would show you that I do too do things with my boy's and that I am not really mad at my mom]. She h[and food, and heat and clean clothes. She even does whacky stuff like doctor and dentist visits. Wasteful shrew of a woman].
But I was selfish and naive[Yes, we know Emily, selfish and naive is very much how everyone would describe you]. I wanted more snow. Now, here we are in February in Maine and there is no snow.[I was really hoping for snow so I could scoop it into bowls and feed it to the boys, I was going to poor a little of lime flavored Therese on top and try to pass it off as ice cream]

When the snow is fresh and there is still some covering in the driveway, Daniel likes to draw in it with his feet[That is, when I haven't let him lapse into a coma due to neglect and starvation]. Bobby follows his lead, but I don't think to take pictures [oh, no, but I always think to take pics of my pink foam salsa, and Brad the wonder Ecoli dog, but I rarely think to take pictures of my kid's] Please let it snow so I can get some posed pictures of the kid's, I'm really afraid that CPS might come a calling, and I need some eveidence that I actually do something with these kids]

We've been going to the park and for walks[When the children are strong enough to walk], The only difference is that we are bundled up[See Dear readers, I am smart enough to put a coat on my kids but not smart enough to give them a sheet or food, or clean clothes. Or to even notice when one of them falls into a coma]. [If I had advanced notice that everyone was going to freak out oer my boys room, I would have had some cute pictures ready to post to lure my readers back in].

For pictures, follow http://under1000permonth.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default It doesn't count as a click if you follow that link. I don't have the time this morning to post the pictures. They are boring, posed kid pictures andyway.

  1. How warm is it in her part of Maine right now? I know I'm 200miles or so north of her, but our temperature yesterday got up to around 25F. Maybe it got closer to the 30s down there. I can't imagine bringing my 2yo to the park in that sort of weather without snowpants and a hat (not just a hood). Even with just the little bit of snow they had, I know she'd want to sit down right in the middle of it. Plus the playground equipment is cold to sit on without snowpants.

  2. Well, atleast they got taken outside... even if it was just for pictures to prove us wrong.

  3. I heard on FJ that someone here called CPS on Emily. Is that true? If it is...Good.

  4. It has been posted here in the comments that one or more poeple have called CPS. I'm sure she read about that and that is why she took the boy's outside and got proof by way of pictures.

  5. Funny she finally shows us pictures of the boys, but they are bundled up so that we can't see how skinny they are or the "rash" on their skin.

  6. The last two days are nothing but Emily trying to portray herself as a good mother. Hell hasn't froze over yet, so it's still not happening.

Funny, she never attempted to do that before the outrage everyone had about the boy's bedroom.

I'm still in disbelief that with the $1300 EXTRA they brought in last month, she can't find a decent used mattress for the two oldest boys. Instead, she plans on tossing them on some blankets. The crazy bitch can't even wash a sheet, how in the hell is she going to master a blanket?

I hope Emily's bed collapses and she has to sleep on the floor and the boys piss all over everything in her room.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work. I pay for my own insurance, and I'm trying to save some money for our first child, you know, so they can have the luxury of a mattress and a painted crib, and a healthcare professional to deliver them. Hell, I think I'll even toss the kid some vegetables and dental care when he gets old enough.

  7. Meg,

You're so wasteful! Don't you know that kids don't need to see doctors? Doctors are only there to push unnecessary drugs on children because they are in league with the pharmaceutical companies. Frozen broccoli and tube meat are all that's necessary to properly feed kids. And it's even better if you lacto-ferment some salsa and throw it on everything.

You have so much to learn.

  8. I've been lurking for awhile and I LOVE your blog. What makes me so angry is that she doesn't have to live like that. I am struggling financially and have been reading a lot of really amazing blogs on how to do more for less. It's all about simple abundance, not creating deprivation for the sake of feeling more poor than you are. I make too much for WIC, and it makes me angry that someone who can get it doesn't take advantage of it.

  9. God, you are so lame, OP.
Seriously. This 'blog' borders on stalking, and totally IS harassment. WHERE are your damn kids while you sit on here mocking a stranger?
Get a fucking life, you LOSER.

This thing isn't funny, witty OR at all interesting. You just c/p posts made by Emily. We already read Emily's blog, we don't need a a second blog reading the same thing. Grow the fuck up.

  10. Actually, previous poster, I don't read Emilys blog because I refuse to give her my .003 cents. And clearly you didn't realize that the parody posts were not written by Emily- I'll forgive you for that since it's pretty hard to tell them apart.

  11. Gizmola- all of my future children are doomed. I just don't know how to be a spectacular mother like Emily.

I'm probably going to let them have a Snickers every now and then, which is why they need dental care. The dental insurance will pay for my mistakes of being a horrible mother and feeding them the occasional Red Cream Soda or Snickers. I know the fresh vegetables and organic meat and quality dairy won't be near enough to combat that once a month treat of a soda or a candy bar.

There is no substitution for tube meat and homemade pasta, but I have shit to do, so I can't be inconvenienced with things of that nature.

P.S. To further destroy my future children, I'm working outside the home and buying salsa from Kroger.

    I blame my mom.

  12. My God. I think Em read thats some of us called CPS on her and now she's trying to play good mom. And taking down the shelf and calling that BS on the fumes in the mattresses? That's just her way of justifying fixing that shit before CPS gets there. I hope someone saved those pics for proof, just in case.

  13. Her blog pictures have been saved. Even if she cleans up and removes some hazards before CPS comes (and I hope she does), the evidence of her recklessness and lack of care still exists.

  14. Would someone please tell me why that baby is not strapped in to that swing??????
    .....
Oh, wait. Look who we're talking about.
    My bad.

  15. emily's post it just so, so posted in response to what she's read here (and other places). it sounds like this is the first time she's taken outdoor photos of the kids this winter. (can we also assume that it's one of the few time she's taken the kids outside at all this winter?).

she would have had more credibility if she posted something like this way before people started questioning whether or not she takes her kids outside (or does anything with them, for that matter). i would imagine that a clever post about "20 fun, frugal activities to do with preschoolers in the wintertime" would have been a much more enlightening than "how i put my husband's notebook into a magazine holder."

(and as a side note, maybe i'm just wierd, but i make it a point to take a photo of my two kids outside in the first snowfall of the year- just because it's memorable. i take them because outdoor lighting is usually better than indoor, so the photos usually come out pretty good, i love seeing how my kids change season to season, and since digital photos are virtually free to take, so i can take gazillions of them.)

  16. I also find it interesting that for someone who doesn't care what "haters" have to say and really believes whole heartedly in how she and her family choose to live, that she spending so much time trying to convince everyone not only that she's a good mother, but that she's a good person (re: Haiti post). Sad.

  17. Emily's got problems with authority and doesn't know who she is. She's just grabbing at lots of different lifestyles, following trends, hoping some of it will win her friends and a sense of purpose.

  18. Just wanted to say that I'm tired of reading about Emily commenting (and her supporters) that many people in 3rd world & other countries live much the same way she does. Well, she doesn't live in a undeveloped country or lack the resources that the people in these countries does. I have family in other countries where there space is very limited, and trust me, they would just shake their heads at somebody like Emily, who chooses to live poverty stricken

  21. I like Dan. I think he may have a learning disbility but he is doing a lot with that disibility. Most people with writing issues would not try to become a pastor or even think about having a blog. Dan tries.

I also like his responses on his blog in the comments section. He doesn't get all defensive like Emily and run around in circles, he just says it like it is. He could certainly use some help in the writing and spelling department but his main problem is letting Emily rule the household. He needs to put his foot down and tell her how to clean a house and care for children.

I think Dan probably had a pretty happy childhood, but a very poor one. Maybe his parents hoarded stuff and he sees nothing wrong with this situation. I do like his attitude though, it is Emily who sucks.

  22. Yay, our very first haters! I'm so excited, you know you've made the big time in blog world when you get the trolls and haters, LOL!

  26. I am taking care of two of my grandchildren right now, my son and his wife are attending a professional conference. I must confess my sins regarding the care of these two babies (2 & 4 )-today we took the dogs for a walk in the orchard to check the trees because of the rain, I let the kids play in the mud, they throw it, tried to eat(which I stopped), threw stones in the ponds and they jumped in the proddles. Good time. Then I feed them Costco chicken nuggets, apple slices, green beans and homemade cookies which we made last night. Nap time. Afternoon they chased the two dogs in the back yard, played on the jungle jim, snack milk and rasins. Granddad has them now, they are feeding the chickens, which I did not get to this afternoon because they kept me busy. We will have dinner, bath time, book time then bed. I have forgotten how much time little kids take. My question- how can Emily make cheese, meals, crafts plus do her blogging and mystery shopping then have time for her kids.

  27. Oh I forgot the big thing, the 4 year old, asks so many questions, just like his Dad. Today he wanted to know how the dishwasher worked, they don't have one. So I am hiding the tools because when his father has six he took apart my washer because he wanted to see how it worked. It is fun to have little kids again. By the way I am taking a week of vacation from work to be a babysitter. I won't give it up for anything, we are having a great time. Tomorrow we are going to Lake Tahoe so they can play in the snow, we are going to see if they like it then maybe skiing on Sat.
